Posture Check - Low Back
ππ» Watch for correct posture when seated and
working on the computer to deter low back pain.
π
π»ββοΈ OUCH! Low back slumped posture may strain low
back muscles, put extra pressure on your tailbone
and/or piriformis muscle and perhaps lead to leg pain
and numbness.
π BETTER: Find a neutral low back position (not too
slouched, not too arched) and gently draw in your
lower abdominal muscles to add some muscular
support while seated.
β° TIP: Check in a few times per hour with this neutral
spine position and encourage your body to participate
in βactiveβ sitting vis βlazyβ sitting. Using your muscles
to support your skeleton = less strain on you!
