Posture Check - Shoulders

πŸ‘€πŸ’» Watch for correct posture when seated and
working on the computer to deter neck pain,
headaches and back pain.

πŸ™…πŸ»β€β™€οΈ OUCH! Shoulders slumped forward (this pulls the
neck forward and can strain neck and shoulder blade
muscles).

🌟 BETTER: Sit tall and gently pull your shoulder
blades back and together, towards your spine.

‼️ Important to note: A laptop sitting on your lap is not
the best position/does not lend to optimal alignment.
Using books or a pillow to elevate the laptop on your
lap helps to improve position. Optimal alignment
would be computer screen directly in front of your
eyes… This is difficult to achieve if working on a
laptop/sitting on a couch.

⏰ TIP: Remember that this posture can be attained a
few times per hour when at your desk vs. trying to
maintain this upright posture at all times. Check in with
your body alignment throughout the day!
